Tips to Maximize Your Scholarship Chances

1

Apply on NSP early

scholarships.gov.in portal opens in Aug–Sep. Apply in the first 2 weeks for higher success rate.

2

Keep documents ready

Income certificate, community certificate, bank passbook, and marksheets must be digitally ready.

3

Score 80%+ in 12th

Most merit scholarships require 75–80% minimum. Push for 85%+ to qualify for multiple schemes.

4

Check college-specific awards

Many private colleges offer fee waivers at admission time. Ask the admission office directly.

5

Look for TNEA state schemes

Tamil Nadu BC/MBC/SC/ST scholarships often go unclaimed. Apply even if you're in a private college.

6

Don't miss AICTE PRAGATI (Girls)

If you're a girl in an engineering program, ₹50,000/year is available — apply via NSP in October.
